Our Story
Oloja was born from a simple frustration: too many talented sellers and hard-working vendors had no real way to reach the people who wanted to buy from them.
A gap we couldn't ignore
Across Nigeria, markets overflow with choice, colour and quality — shops in Lagos, traders in Kano, growers and vendors in every state. Yet a seller a few streets away could feel a world apart from the customer looking for exactly what they make. Word of mouth only travels so far. A stall is only open so many hours. And getting a product across town, reliably and safely, was often the hardest part of all.
On the other side stood everyday people — wanting to support local, wanting choice and fair prices, but with no single place to find it and no easy way to pay or receive it.
The idea
We kept asking one question: what if a vendor's shop could stay open all day, every day, to the whole country — and what if a customer could discover, pay for, and receive local products as easily as ordering anything else online?
That question became Oloja — a marketplace built to close the distance between people who make and grow, and the people who want what they offer.
Built for everyone at the table
For merchants, it's a storefront that never closes and tools that used to be out of reach. For riders, it's honest, flexible work moving goods across their own city. For customers, it's a trusted place to shop local, pay securely, and have it delivered to the door.
We're still early, and we're building in the open — with the sellers, riders and shoppers of Nigeria. This is a platform to bring everyone together, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
